They say every face in a crowd has a story to tell, this is my story..

The news shows and newspapers all called it 'Road Rage'. To me that sounded like a disease, an affliction that can make you kill. A sorry excuse to take the claw end of a hammer and slam it repeatedly into the skull of a human being. In April of 1999 my little brother passed away. Doesn't passed away sound so gentle, even normal? David's death was neither. It was murder. He was found lying in a strangers driveway in a pool of blood. He had been punched, stomped and beaten over his entire body. I still have so many questions. I wrote this book at first for therapy and then for answers. I have found a few. I mainly realized l lost a brother tragically and senselessly. Like every other face in the crowd I have a story..and I want to share my story with you! PUBLICATION DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED LATE SUMMER/EARLY FALL :)

Friday Fragments...

I seriously cannot believe it is Friday again..but then again I am quite fragmented so it must be time for Friday Fragments.  The lovely host for FF can be found here:www.halfpastkissintime.com
It is a way to dump out all the little pieces in your mind that actually are not enough for a complete post..check it out!

When you are finished there I'm sure if you are 40 or over you would just love Java and her Friday Follow.  You can find her here:nevergrowingold.blogspot.com

So How about those Phillie's!!  I am so excited and cannot wait to get home from work tonight to watch the game!!

I have to work on "branding" myself as an author this week.  Doesn't that sound awful; like it is going to burn...anyway that is what I will be doing all week...

We had grand kids; Dominic (8) and his sister Adriana (1) last weekend while their older sister participated in a softball showcase.  She is 15 and is already playing for college scouts?  Whatever; I guess..
We talk the little ones to Linvilla Orchard's.  They have a petting zoo and a farmer's market, an awesome playground and lots of pumpkins!
Feeding Rooster's
Dominic and Pop-Pop did guy things like clean the motorcycle and the car; cut the grass, build fires (in the pit).  Adriana and I just played and snuggled.  She is now 17 month's and I cannot believe how well she is talking, actually 3 & 4 words together..I was amazed!

All Boy!

Talking to Momma

She called it a kitty (she has a doberman)
I had to save her from the ostrich..so scary!

I cannot believe how well Dominic is doing.  If you did not know; back in July at summer camp Dom had a metal pole go clear through his leg, down by his ankle.  We thought he would lose his foot.  Miraculously the pole went in between his major artery and his bone.  All they had to repair was some muscle and ligaments.  He will need plastic surgery at some point but can you believe he climbed a tree.  It truly is a miracle!

I am still celebrating my quest to 300 followers. For every 10 new follower's I am picking a winner. I changed things up a bit last week and instead of picking randomly I am going to pick my favorite commenter from last Friday, this Friday and a serious post I will do on Monday.  Hopefully I will need to pick several.

I am really missing my brother this week (the subject of my book). I don't know why, maybe the season change.  I also miss my 2 brother's that are still here.  Life really does get in the way sometimes. I am going to try to see both of them next week.

My favorite quote of the week:
This too shall pass.  Change is the only constant. In order to take a breath, you must release a breath.
Have a positive and powerful week!

  3. I admire that your are turning a horrible part of your life into a healing experience.
Fun to read about your grandkids.
We are watching the Phillies here in Colorado. My son-in-law is a former pro baseball player and Ross Gload is one of his best friends. Since the Rockies are out of it, I can say go Phillies.

  4. I had to laugh about "branding" yourself - during my "stupid phase" in college I was a member of a sorority, and one time my "sisters" and I branded a guy's arm with the Greek letters of his fraternity. DISGUSTING! Who DOES that? Oh, wait. I did. Like I said - "stupid phase."

Love the sunset picture. And of course, the grandkids. Too cute!

  5. Thank you for stopping in on my blog and adding me. I have actually been following YOU for a long time. I just haven't been commenting. Too funny, eh? Oftentimes, when I don't know what to say, I go with nothing. May not be the best answer, but it is a no harm, no foul solution. I will be more forthcoming in the future. In fact, you might want to tell me to zip it before it's over:-)

  7. It must lighten your heart so much to see Dominic climbing trees :) (or giving you a heart attack, I suppose!) They are such sweet little ones. Congrats to your granddaughter on the softball scouting thing--That's a pretty big deal!

Hope the Phillies did well, for your sake AND Matty's :)
